Prayer and Praise

Submit prayer requests and praise reports that you would like to share. We will post them to this page, where others in our community can join with you in prayer and praise. If you would like to leave a prayer or word of encouragement for someone, you can comment on the bottom of this page.

Is anyone among you in trouble? Let them pray. Is anyone happy? Let them sing songs of praise. Is anyone among you sick? Let them call the elders of the church to pray over them and anoint them with oil in the name of the Lord. And the prayer offered in faith will make them well; the Lord will raise them up. If they have sinned, they will be forgiven. Therefore confess your sins to each other and pray for each other so that you may be healed. The prayer of a righteous person is powerful and effective. James 5:13-16

From Cindy on February 8, 2010:

I want to encourage everyone to listen to anything by Jesus Culture.  Watch their videos on You tube.  They know how to lead worship and take you to the Throne of Christ.  Your Spirit will soar as you connect with God Almighty, “El Shaddai”.

From Sandra on March 1, 2010:

Prayer: Please pray for my family that we can have a stronger bond, are once again unified and have an understanding amongst one another.  Please also pray for Michael Sr. that he gets closer to Jesus and wants to be a good example to the world.

From Angel on March 1, 2010:

Prayer: Last night, I received an email from a friend who is on the missions field. He just heard that his teenaged sister died in a car accident. Please pray for his family, especially for his parents as it was already difficult for them to have their son away from them on the missions field, and now they are dealing with the loss of their beloved daughter. Pray for my friend, as he grieves for his sister. Pray that he would remain steadfast in his trust in the Lord during this difficult time.

From Michelle on March 6, 2010:

Prayer: I ask for prayers for myself and my two special needs adolescent daughters. Husband left after 33 years of marriage 10 months ago. Life is too intense for him. He filed for divorce. I am still struggling with it all. I feel pushed beyond my limits. I want to surrender to God’s plan for me and my family. I ask for patience, acceptance and trust. Dear Lord, please make your path or plans for me clear.

From Eric on March 7, 2010:

Prayer: Greetings in the name of our Lord JESUS! Please pray for me. My situation is this, I became a pastor two years ago but until now I am still working full time in a banking institution. I already talked to my wife, son and two daughters regarding my decision to resign from my job and be a full time pastor. Questions were raised by my wife and son if my separation pay is enough to settle my current financial obligations. Because three years ago before I became a pastor, I engaged in poultry and piggery business; initially the outcome was good but when I became a pastor, the enemy(Satan)  was successful in destroying my business. That is why I am confronted with a huge financial obligation. I dont have to ask any question to our Living God. I counted it joy and rejoice that I shared the sufferings of our Lord Jesus. Please pray for me that God will provide the needs for my ministry and that I will be released from the bondage of debts. God bless and thank you very much.

From Oralinda on March 8, 2010:

Prayer: The Bible says when any two or three touch and agree the Lord will be in the midst, so I am asking for prayer that this is the yr. that the Lord saves all of my lost and unsaved loved one’s. I am praying that my church family grows closer together genuinely in our minds, hearts and spirit until it is totally pleasing to God. I pray for a closer walk with the Lord, and a special prayer that me and my mom move into our own home this yr. Mom does not have a job yet, but I know that we are the only living and true God’s children and the Lord specializes in things that are impossible. In Jesus name, amen.

From Shreya on April 2, 2010:

From MJBC on April 2, 2010:

Prayer: As we pause to remember with gratitude the awesome message of redemption this Good Friday, pray that my sons and daughter will be gripped by grace and turn their hearts toward Jesus, avail themselves of it by attending services regularly in true conversion, and experience the burning love of our savior.
Praise: Thanks be to God for Katie’s recovery progress; for Mick’s joy.

From Milly on April 5, 2010:

Prayer: My husband’s plant is shutting down after 14 yrs.  He and the other employees need a new job.  I want myself and husband and son to get into the Lord our savior deeper and have a personal encounter.  We need strength to continue; our mom went to be with the Lord 4 1/2 months ago, and I have 2 brothers that are ill and so am I.  We all need a spiritual break thru.  My sister’s husband needs a job.  I need to stay focused on the Lord and no matter how bad it may look, that I can continue believing. God help my character, faith.

From N.G. on April 6, 2010:

Prayer: My prayer request is for my husband to be led by God to find a person to help him overcome the bondage of pornography.

From Connie on April 7, 2010:

Prayer: Our business has not had sales and we are financially going through a really tough time. I need to know that God is ok with me and not chastising me. If I know that, then I can handle anything. But when things are going badly I feel so distant from Him. Thanks for the prayers.

From Stacy on April 20, 2010:

Prayer: I broke my foot on Saturday at the park. Please pray that I don’t have to have surgery on it, and pray for my parents to help me through this.

From Tom on April 28, 2010:

Prayer: I know so many homeless people, and it bothers me that many of them are elderly and infirm women living in their cars or trucks. One of them is named Mary Reed; she and her son (adult) were scammed out of their Glendale, California home by a crafty realtor and an attorney. They sometimes park in a Vons parking lot. Her legs are very swollen due to poor circulation. The seats in her car don’t fully recline so she has developed (cellulitus?). Also there is another woman, Linda. She lives in her Nissan Maxima (not running). She has diabetes. I saw her legs – they also are very swollen, and she has sores on them too.  We all need to pray that God will enlighten those that can make a difference. The elected officials – with insight, hindsight and foresight so they can miraculously help to put an end to these gaping wounds in our society. There are probably five other men and young homeless around that area. If you see them, give them some help; buy them something healthy. Don’t judge them – they are just like you, flesh and blood. God watches and knows what we do and why. God bless you with kindness and mercy. Count your blessings with mercy and gratefulness (a form of praise). I was fired from my job of eighteen years Monday morning. I drove as a locksmith contract station employee and rear-ended some people Sunday afternoon. The employer claims I am not insureable. Pray for me last I was careless. God bless your lives always.

From Elizabeth on April 28, 2010:

Prayer: For my daughter to get a partner who is a Christian. Make her strong in her Christian faith. For health reasons and a happy life.

From Barbara on May 27, 2010:

Prayer: I am going through a lot of difficulties right now.  I am an Assistant pastor who feels unwanted and unappreciated.  I am going through financial difficulties despite me tithing and sowing seeds and offerings.  I pray one thing for my only child and the opposite happens to her.  I am so discouraged right now.  I need prayers.

From Monica on June 15, 2010:

Prayer: I would like to request prayers for my 15-year-old daughter who has lost her way; please pray God guides her steps, and the Holy Spirit continues to shine through her, as she finds her way. Thank you.

From Fatima on June 20, 2010:

Prayer: I accepted God as my savior. I belong to him, but I always have deep pain on my heart,  so please help me…sometimes I feel scared of nothing, like I want to escape. I feel my heart beating quickly. That makes me scared, thinking I will have something worse… but doctors said it is in my mind…Please help me with your prayers. God bless you.

From Rosa on June 23, 2010:

Prayer: For my daughter Summer who just had her 4th baby. Pray for her in every way – hormonally, emotionally physically, spiritually. She knows the Lord. Her two oldest children are a real challenge. Pray for her husband, Keith, and their finances and business, as well as  for their marriage – that God would continue to lead him as the head of the family.

Praise: Praise for the new baby girl, Khalayla Rose.  She is a precious gift from God.

From Norma on June 30, 2010:

Prayer: Dear God, our Father, I ask this from the bottom of my heart, please Lord, help all that are sick and the lost, Lord, that have never heard of you and your promise. Lord, today there are so many people being misled. Please Lord, help us all, that we will know the truth of your words before it’s too late. Lord, help me to stop hurting you, Lord, by my sins. I thank you so much that you sent your son to die for me, and this is something that i will never be able to repay. I love you, Lord, with all my heart ….

Praise: Thank you, Lord, for all the Blessings that you have given me. My husband, my kids and my family. My praise is that I am very blessed because of you.

From Sandi on July 5, 2010:

Prayer: I need a job part-time. I don’t need a lot of money, but something to supplement my income so I can get a car. I want a car so I can go to church, visit and go to work at the occupation the LORD  gave me the education for. I am living in a catch 22 situation. No car because of no job and no job because of no car. I know the Lord knows the desires of our hearts. I am asking, believing that He will help me. And as in the Bible “I believe, help Lord for my unbelief.”

From Francine on July 16, 2010:

Prayer: Please pray for me. My unemployment runs out in a couple of months, and jobs are few. I live in a small town, and I don’t know what to do. Also pray for my father who will be having surgery soon. Thank you and God bless.

From Chippy on July 27, 2010:

Prayer: Unspoken…Thanks.

Barbara, I feel impressed to give you a word of encouragement. I believe God sees your faithfulness. You may feel unappreciated by everyone around you, but know that God sees you and knows you. I’m sure you know the story from Genesis, when Sarah gives her servant Hagar to Abraham to conceive a child. After Hagar runs away from Sarah (who “dealt severely” with her after she got pregnant and looked down on Sarah), she encounters an angel of God in the desert. He tells her that God has paid attention to her affliction. Hagar calls God “El Roi,” “the God who sees me.” In the midst of your own difficulties and sorrows, “El Roi” sees your affliction also. The angel didn’t tell Hagar to keep running from her troubles or to give up and let God work. He told her to go back home and keep working through the troubles. But she knew in the midst of them that God saw her and paid attention to her affliction. May you be encouraged in your own trials to know that, even though your situations may not change the way you want them to, God is with you. He is working all things for your good, and one day you will reap a great harvest for your faithfulness in the troubled times. Jesus loves you with His very life, dear sister. May His presence bring you tangible comfort in these discouraging times.
